Hiring your first employee in Poland?

Before your employee starts work, Polish law requires several Health & Safety steps.
Getting them right from the start is easier — and far less expensive — than fixing mistakes later.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Employing people in Poland raises difficult questions. We answer all of them.

These are the questions we hear most often from HR, Operations and Workplace teams hiring employees in Poland. If you are asking any of these, you are in the right place.

"What are our legal OHS obligations in Poland?"

We map every obligation that applies to your headcount and industry — before it becomes a fine.

"We are hiring our first employee in Poland — what do we need?"

A defined starter package: training + risk assessment + documentation.

"Do our employees need Health & Safety training?"

Yes — before day one of work. We train both employees and their managers in English, primarily online.

"Which documents are mandatory?"

Risk assessments, training records, accident procedures and more. We prepare them all.

"Can everything be handled remotely?"

Almost all of it — training, documentation, consulting. On-site only when the law requires it.

"Can you support us fully in English?"

It is all we do. Every trainer, document summary and email — in English.

"How fast can we become compliant?"

Most new employers have their initial Health & Safety requirements in place within 5–10 business days.

"What happens during a PIP inspection?"

We prepare you, represent you during the visit and handle the follow-up.

The exact scope grows with headcount and industry — .we map your Health & Safety obligations and explain exactly what applies to your business during a free consultation.

As a rule, every newly hired employee must complete initial Health & Safety training before being allowed to start work. Depending on the position, the first periodic training is generally required within 6 or 12 months, with subsequent training repeated at intervals prescribed for the relevant employee group. We deliver the training in English.

The inspector may arrive unannounced, reviews documents, inspects workplaces and interviews staff — entirely in Polish. We prepare you in advance, attend the inspection and handle the follow-up so nothing is lost in translation.

For a new office-based employer: typically 5–10 business days from our first call. Training can be scheduled within 48 hours; risk assessments and core documentation follow within the week.

Almost everything — consultations, office-role training, documentation and deadline management run remotely, all in English. On-site presence happens only where the law requires physical activities, anywhere in Poland.

Before day one: initial OHS training, a risk assessment for the role, an occupational-medicine examination and the core documentation set. We deliver it as a standard package within about a week.
